NADIKI: KoloDC delivers measurement data to the registrar for the first time

The three KoloDC pilot data centers are transmitting power measurement data to the NADIKI Registrar for the first time. The function tests in AP 2.2 are complete—the measurement chain from the rack to the environmental impact calculation is operational.

The three KoloDC pilot data centers transmit power measurement data directly from the data center to the NADIKI Registrar—measured behind the UPS and directly at the rack. With this, the functional tests in work package 2.2 are completed: The measurement chain from the physical infrastructure to the Observer System's database is established and reliably delivers data.

GPU servers are installed in the racks, which we will integrate into the monitoring system as the project progresses—from the server level to individual AI workloads.

NADIKI - Sustainability Indicators for AI

Within the NADIKI Project, we are integrating Environmental Impact Indicators from the Life Cycle Assessment Methodology into Kubernetes. This empowers workloads, like AI training workflows and inference, to assess their operational impact and allows detailed reporting. Using this data, we evaluate the feasibility of an environmental product declaration for an AI model.
