KoloDC connects two more data centers to the NADIKI Registrar

Following the successful connection in Apeldoorn, KoloDC has linked two more data centers in the Netherlands to the NADIKI Registrar.

In November 2024, KoloDC connected two more data centers in the Netherlands to the NADIKI Registrar. Following the initial connection of the Apeldoorn site in September, the Dronten and Meppel locations are now also transmitting operational data to the system.

This means that three KoloDC data centers are continuously providing measurement data on energy consumption, cooling, and building technology. The broader data base enables comparisons between sites with different configurations for the first time — an important prerequisite for further developing the environmental impact calculations within the registrar.

NADIKI - Sustainability Indicators for AI

Within the NADIKI Project, we are integrating Environmental Impact Indicators from the Life Cycle Assessment Methodology into Kubernetes. This empowers workloads, like AI training workflows and inference, to assess their operational impact and allows detailed reporting. Using this data, we evaluate the feasibility of an environmental product declaration for an AI model.
