SoftAWERE presented at the OOP conference

Max Schulze presented the SoftAWERE project at the OOP Conference—a project focused on developing tools and labels for energy-efficient software applications.

Max Schulze presented the SoftAWERE project at the OOP conference, in which IDED (formerly known as SDIA) was involved. The project developed innovative tools that enable IT developers and architects to measure and improve their software's energy consumption.

The approach: Software consumes four digital resources—network bandwidth, storage capacity, memory, and CPU time. Devices providing these resources convert electrical energy into digital energy. SoftAWERE makes this relationship measurable.
