IDED, AGFW, and Bitkom jointly called for the adaptation of the waste heat definition in the KWKG to make data center waste heat usable for heating networks.
IDED (formerly known as SDIA) published a cross-industry statement together with the Energy Efficiency Association AGFW and Bitkom. The demand: The definition of waste heat in the Combined Heat and Power Act (KWKG) must be adjusted to enable the use of CO₂-free data center waste heat in heating networks.
